I have a 12 year old daughter who enjoys swimming 200m events. Unfortunately she does not get many opportunities to do this, does anyone know of Open Meets where she can do this in the Cambs/Suffolk/Norfolk/Essex/Beds area. She is a good B grade swimmer and made the A grade Counties in 200m Free and Back. apologies if this is in the wrong place! :D

Not wanting to blow my own trumpet but you could look through the meet information links at M-SWIM (http://www.m-swim.co.uk) :D

The 2003 Peterborough Designated Open has 200m events in which your daughter could swim. See the programme, rules and entry forms at www.copsclub.co.uk

Slightly outside your geographical area, but we are again holding our designated Easter Open.

Though 200s are bound to be very popular, there is guaranteed entry for the fastest eight entries in each single-year age group, starting with 12s and under (fastest 12 entries for 100s and 50s, fastest four for 400s). Ages are as of Easter Sunday.

Canvey Island (excellent friendly club) are holding an Open on Saturday 4th January 2003. It is for 200m races only.

If you are interested (and it is not too far for you) send me an email and I will forward the organisers details who MAY be able to get you in for time only races. They are a nice bunch of people.
