Is anyone else in sport heaven today?

Im juggling cricket - england V canada and australia V holland, just watched the barrera V marquez fight (awesome), soon arsenal are playing (im a gooner), the first grand prix of the season. Thank goodness at least the rugby was on yesterday (although we wont talk about that).

Is this what its like in heaven?

All i need is a few pretty servants to feed me grapes, make me tea and fan me. (cant have it all)

The only sore point is i have broken my lazy boy armchair. Hmpph!

I watched a bit of the cricket and was pleased that Ireland beat Pakistan, but they did do it in a very slow and dull way. It's ODI cricket so I wanna see 4s and 6s!

Shame about Arsenal. Man Utd are the best team on the planet!

I can't believe what's happening in the cricket. A bunch of over paid drunks are out there representing our country. Maybe that was exceptable a in the sport a couple of decades ago but, like football, times are changing and it's now a pro sport. These guys should start acting like it. Might go to Heathrow with some eggs when they arrive back from their holiday!

I'm really hoping the Brits can do some awesome swimming in Oz so they can show which sport works the hardest!

Also well done to that Hamilton bloke who got his first podium place in the 1st GP of this season. Great start for a great talent and I hope he improves on his placing next time.

Wales!!!!!

Oh you couldnt resist a dig...fair play. I was loving it when we ruled the planet and were practically unbeatable. Hence world champs. Now its humble pie. Bummer. Wales played well.

Nah it was great, really tense game. But i see your point. Have you ever watched 20/20 cricket. Now thats a slugfest. What about South Africa V netherlands. Hershalle gibbs scored 36 in 1 over. 6 * 6's amazing, what a hero. Not been done since gary sobers. If you want entertainment watch them and the aussies, perhaps sri lanka. I love watching Gilchrist, Ponting, Simmo. Also Pieterson and Freddy for England will ignite at some point.

Yes it was a shame about Arsenal...and as much as it hurts me to say (and believe me its agony) Man U at this moment possibly are the best team out there....ahhhhhhh its agony (bends over doubled up).

Agreed. Couldnt believe this either what a joke. Representing the COUNTRY and going out on the lash! Its just not cricket...bom bom!

This kid was born to drive! A natural, and created a lot of excitement. This season is going to be great i think. Everyone wants to fill that spot shue has left. I hope its close and competetive all the way through.

Im a bit silly with sport. Take it far too serious. I take every loss to england national teams and arsenal like a personal loss. (and im a baaaad loser)

When Arsenal lost to man u to that giggs flukey wondergoal in 1999 fa cup semi after bergcamp piss a pin in 90th minute i didnt talk to anyone for a week.

Im the same when england get knocked out of world cups. I normally go straight to bed because its too painfull being awake.

What a silly s*d! cant change.

Cant wait for this weekends swimming. Swimming is now number 1 sport to me, to practice and watch. I still watch the helsinki ive taped when im bored.

Sport is addictive. It is a skill that you are born with and so many people work their backsides off to achieve in so I love watching it. I don't have sky sports news now and my life was almost over. Still haven't gotten over it, but thank god I have SSN at work.

I work with two Arsenal fans and they keep going on about how stylish their team plays but you don't win things on artistic merit just scoring more goals than the rest! I personally thought it would be Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea and then Liverpool in the Premiership but I'm not quite sure with Arsenals away form. I could go on for days about football!

I know I should be patriotic and all that but I hope England get stuffed by Kenya. If they scrap through after what's been going on then they don't deserve it! Sri Lanka are my team (as my dad played for them back in the day) and I saw a OD match with them against England. SL kicked their butts and I was in the SL stand. Great atmosphere from their supporters.

Hershalle gibbs scored 36 in 1 over. 6 * 6's amazing, what a hero. Wow would have loved to have seen him do that. He's been through a lot in the past from the match fixing to basically losing the 99 World cup semis (silly dropped catch). I loved watching one of the Aussie guys, Lehmann or Symonds getting about 25 runs in an over. It just looked so easy.

Im a sports addict gina. I would stand up in a room and admit that in a therapy environment. When i was young i competed in everything for the school teams. Football, cricket, rugby, trampolining, high jump, i ran for the district. EVERYTHING. Since leaving school ive competed for clubs at snooker, table tennis, darts, kickboxing, boxing, golf and now swimming. Its not enough for me to just play for fun, i have to get out there and try to be the best at everything. Some say its a good thing to be competetive, i think its a character flaw. Im ashamed of my competetiveness. The will to win burns like a fire and loss cuts me like a knife.

When we all go the the pub to play pool and get drunk nobody want to be on my side...not that we wont win, just cos they dont want the burdon of my obsessivness with victory.

I think i have some type of OCD. When i pick a sport up, i drop everything else to master it. I get so obsessed by it, it haunts my dreams.

Take swimming. I start a new ask the coach thread every 5 mins. What you dont see is me HOUNDING Juicy, Bully and NVF by pm and email.

I do need help, but not for swimming.

Anyone know the number of a good therapist?

Pete....im honoured that you would still be seen rubbing shoulders with joe public now that you are a superstar.

Still...look at me. Can you see a subcutaneous layer of brown fat anywhere.
