ASA RDO Colin Christmas has resigned after just 6 months(?) of being officially in post.

My question is...

Is the area too big, with too many clubs for 1 RDO??

What was their job spec?

I ask as Swim 21 doesn't seem to be moving at any great speed. Was this their main role?

Seeing that Swim 21 has been around for at least 2 years the figures for Southern/South East/London regions show:

ASA Registered clubs = 340
Clubs who have completed Swim 21 audit pack = 84!

(This is just the first stage of the process before any action plans are put together)

These areas are covered by 4 RDOs.

I gather that Hampshire have recently appointed a Swimming Officer - anyone know who it is and what their job is?

Many clubs see Swim21 as last year's initiative and Active Sports as this year's.

The big push - from the ASA, for clubs to sign up to Swim21, which was needed 12 months ago just hasn't happened

Rachel was based at Bisham Abbey, so London/the South East probably.
