Wasn't there Mirror, but I think a friend of mine was swimming.

They're not there at the moment, but I guess they'll be on the COSSC website soon .....

Hope so, hasnt been updated since February, but last years are there so hopefully soon!
My son swam the 800 for the first time, and has now got the bug and has asked if he can swim 1500 - so probably going to try Macclesfield satellite open. (I thought it would be "never again" or this reaction!!)

I always enjoyed going to Macclesfield for the Satellite Open Meet. It is a good pool, certainly fast enough for plenty of PBs. Back in the day, the meet used to be in late June / early July and was the final chance to get NQTs. The organisers had a courier service taking any new NQTs set at the meet straight over to Loughborough as the closing date was the very next morning. I got my first ever NQT there so it always brings back fond memories.

Thanks for that lane4...........always good to know about 'fast' pools. (By the way..........the new pool at Nuneaton is just fab!). Will see if my daughter can face that long in the car.

I too have fond(ish) memories of Macclesfield........got married at the registry office there, oh so many years ago.

Hi , Breaststroker mum ,so nice to meet you and S at Nuneaton.
Yes indeed it is a fast pool ,over 200 Regional qts gained up til lunchtime Sunday apparently! Mine got her two targeted swim Regional qt's Saturday and her other swims were pb's , so she was a happy bunny on the way home.The pool, accomodation /eateries available locally and meet were excellent.

Satelites Open at Macclesfield always used to be at beginning of June and has moved around the calendar over the past couple of years .Was always seen as a Big Summer meet . We always used to have a picnic on the grass outside the pool ! .... They have Finals too for 100's , good for Nqt's etc.

If anyone has any links to last years results ,would they share the link , might give some idea of whether fast pool times...

Hi , yes announcements a plenty , but I must say , a very well organised and enjoyable meet all round. Did sign the book , mine got her two on Saturday along with her team mate - mission for the weekend accomplished and got two nice pbs on the Sundaytoo , just off her Regional times , (but they are her next target.)
Thoroughly recommend Nuneaton for meets ....
