His name is Vladimir Salnikov probably the best distance free style swimmer ever,i know there are a lot of people who swim 1500 free quicker than 15 mins, but he was in a different class in his day.:thumb:

You seem to have a great balance between enjoying the sport and wanting to be the best you can be. Also, in cyberspace you come over as a nice guy.

HappySwimmer, you are making us all want to throw up.

I know what you mean but ....

Supposing one of the regular forum members died this weekend (god forbid) loads of us would no doubt post messages of appreciation. So why do we wait until people die to say nice things about them? I'm sure lots of people never realise how well they are regarded by their peers (including you JL) and I think that is really sad.

Let's start a campaign to show our appreciation to our peers before it is too late for them to know.

Thank goodness I didn't call myself "crabbyCrawler"! Although some of the people who swim in my lane might think the name would suit me.

Liam Tancock.
After him I'm a bit of an underwater kick fanatic, so Lochte, Rogan, Coughlin (and Phelps of course, but every man and his dog knows Phelps).
I like Lisogor too, he was hilarious at the World Champs afterparty this year - legend.

my favorite swimmer would be Kosuke Kitajima.. he broke the 200m breaststroke world record earlier this month. i think he's the only japanese swimmer currently to be at a world class level. simply amazing

on a side note, do you guys know who alain bernard is? he's the french swimmer who holds the 100free record (47.5).. i must say he is the MOST MUSCULAR/RIPPED swimmer i've seen
i know pro swimmers are muscular, but Bernard is HUGE. !!!!!

Favourite swimmer, I gues does not have to be the fastest in the pool. Not that Iam saying Stevie is slow, because he is always improving.
