The ASA invite online entries for the Summer Nationals after the apparent success of the system for the British LC Championships.

Were there any problems with the Manchester entry online entry procedures that entrants for Sheffield should be wary of?

Qualifying times set as splits in another event, and times set in meets outside the UK have to be sent in manually.

How is the time set as a split in another event (say a relay) validated by the swimmer for use as a qualifying time (lead off leg of relay)? ie what evidence is needed to submit the time?
Thanks

I was really meaning 50m times set in 100m races or 100m times set in 200m events rather than relay lead offs but they do count as well of course. A simple copy of the result sheet with the splits on it is enough. The GB rankings system does not include splits yet, even where the split time is the swimmer's best ever time for that distance.

Thanks for that Lane4, interestingly another lead off leg my son swam for the intercounty competition did make it into the GB ranking database....
We have a copy of the results by club, the swimmers aren't identified by name on the results sheet against their splits- do you think that is sufficient or do we need to get the coach to verify he swam the lead off leg?

Am I reading this correctly, lead off legs in relays such as at County swims can be used for qt's at Nationals? ie 50 Free ............. are we sure.

Please confirm if this is so...
Thanks Emosmum :fingers:

You Can

At the Speedo League Final the first swim in the relay can use that time for Nationals

It's the same for any licensed meet at which you can get NQTs - lead-off in a relay counts, be it 50m or 100m. :)

Does this count for the 3 rounds in Speedo league as a swimmer I know submitted a individual time (Not relay) for the districts qualification, indicating it was achieved at Speedo league, but it was thrown back stating that this is not a licensed meet and not viable.

Is it different for District and National QT.

The speedo league final was a licensed level 1 meet, so that one counts, whereas the other rounds are unlikely to be licensed (although I suppose the host club could license them if they really wanted the extra work)

Hi - further to my question re providing documentary evidence of the time (ie lead off leg, results published without identified swimmer) does anyone know the answer?
Thanks in advance

My understanding was that you needed the meet referee's signature on the resuts sheet to verify the split.

Does anyone know the qualifying criteria for age group national relays. These are the relays which are swum at the districts?

If same as last year

Based on times swum at Districts
Top 30 times nationally for 4x100F/M and top 20 for 4x200F

Many thanks BWSC, I had worked out it was run as three heats for the 4x100M/F, I did phone the ASA and they didnt get back. It is the type of imformation that as far as I can see not readley available.
