Ottawa - Following the decision of an internal appeals panel released last night, Swimming Canada's selection committee has been instructed to review the selection of a portion of the 2002 Commonwealth Games team.
At issue is the wording of the selection criteria which, depending on the world ranking time and quality of a swimmer's performance at the recent Commonwealth Games Trials, could allow for the discretionary selection of bronze medalists (Category E of the selection process) over silver medalists (Category D of the selection process).
