British Swimming Championships and National Age Group & Youth Championships give concessional entry fees for senior citizens...well done I say !
Does your club do the same ?
Are there any clubs that do not give concessions to senior citizens and why not please ?

Why should they? I don’t know any poor senior citizens. They all seem to have more money than me and I work full time! My mother-in-law with her pension and benefits (she doesn’t pay rent, council tax or prescription charges to name a few) has a much higher income than my wife and I put together and I am not on a particularly low salary (however, do work for NHS).
Come on don’t be stingy, pay the full entry price and support the clubs financially by doing so.:p

The alternative to all senior citizens having concessions would seem to be means tested benefits, then that's a political mind field.
Or a basic state pension that you can actually live on...

Totally agree Laurie. My Mum spends a lot of tme and money going to see my son swim and the ONLY meet that we have been to in recent years that did not have a concession was Manchester last weekend. Concessions for older people are a generally accepted norm - come on City of Manchester - sort this out.
