how do you guyz get avatars??

I'd like to now also where to find this directory. My cp says no avatars

Do you mean it says you cannot have avatars or you have no avatars to choose from. If it is the latter, you go out and find them on the internet, anywhere from your buddy icon on AOL Instant Messanger, or whatnot, save it, and load it in the edit options menu.

You need to go to USER CONTROL PANEL / EDIT OPTIONS.

At the bottom of that page there's the option to change your avatar.

Tried that - within CHANGE OPTION

THEN EDIT AVATAR

USE AVATAR - NO OPTION CANNOT BE UNSET

Swimleeds: I can only suggest that you find the avatar you want to use on the internet (or anywhere else for that matter) and download it to your computer. Then use the UPLOAD AVATAR FROM YOUR COMPUTER option.

or design your own one, like i did mine, and upload it (change it go a .jpeg or .gif file first though (not .bmp)
