Just out of interest, I was wondering what your best ten-pin bowling score is?

None of the lane-lines (that stop the ball going in the gutter.)

I've had 196 in the past (never did manage the illusive 200 game) and I got 173 tonight.

Some good bowlers here! I thought my 150 was pretty good.
I got 128 I think last time I went, which was about Easter time. Don't play as often as I used to.

Compared to Chris's 86 the other day, 128 is excellent!!! :D

183 is my best. My best mate and I have a little problem about who is the greatest bowler. When we go bowling. I tend to put more effort into it than when I was swimming competitively.

He is still on a 190 average. Oh well...

Found a guest looking at this thread so I thought I would resurrect it and share my 156 with everyone.

That didn't give me as much pleasure though as beating my husband for the first time ever last month with a measly 145. (But then that was probably 20 years worth of trying and I have never cared what score I get - only that I beat him! :king: I don't think he will ever play again. :D )

Go on everyone share - what's your highest score?

My other half scored 182 last week. He was smiling SO much it was unbearable and he has mentioned it just a few times since! I am happy if I score about 120 ish though this time I didn't even get to a hundred. Hideous.

I'm currently happy if I break 100 ..... my standards have slipped significantly since 2002!!

My highest is about 180 - but that was back when I was bowling every week.

120ish is my highest in the last year (but bowling does normally involve beer...)

Chris

Do you think we should use this as an excuse for a bowling evening at some point?? It's about time we graced the alley with our presence again!!!

My highest is 190 something, but like Chris I'd be lucky to get above 120 nowadays! I just never seem to be able to find that spare!!

Ooh I quite fancy a bowl! Would beat sitting in this damn office!!

I once got nine strikes in a row, unfortunately that was six at the end of one game and then the first three of the next. If that had been one game I would probably have got around 275. However, I have to settle for 234. Chris was never happy about me getting 200s, mate I think we'll have to get that on my stag do. I have told Chris I must blame my bowling ability (back then) on my Dad as he got his first 300 game last year. Never beaten him yet.

The illusive score is 300, I have got passed 100 (not in fly Y200FLY?), and the last time I had three games scoring, 240, 210, 190 in that order. I concentrated a great deal on the second game, and then more so with the third. Shows the 240 was luck. :rainbow:

My all time high score is 181, I was only 13 and it was an absolute fluke. I normally play reasonable well for the second half of the first game and the first half of the second game, but never for a whole game!!

I haven't played in years, so would probably struggle to beat 100 now.

I won a game with 5 people last week, while on hols. Got 3 strikes and a couple of spares and managed 120 which I was very pleased with. Ok, so I suppose I'd better confess the bumpers were up and were very useful for some (but not all!) of the strikes and spares. Oh, and I forgot to mention, three of the people I beat were my daughters, aged 16, 8 and 7. Just goes to show, it's not only swimming I'm pants at! :joker:
