NW and NE Speedo ??s

Now that Clubs and Squads are getting back to training the attention of many turns to National Speedo Lg with the first fixture only 7 weeks away and whilst Speedo excitement is not exactly at fever pitch yet availability and travel plans have to be made.
Does anyone have access to the NW Draw (esp. Premier Div)?
What is happening over the Pennines this year?....Are the NE Clubs competing at all, amongst other NE Clubs or are they border-hopping into adjoining Regions?

As far as I know NE are not taking part this year

Its a pity that the NE clubs aren't going to be involved again.
The Speedo Finals are poorer for the absence of the best of the NE area and the swimmers of NE Clubs (elite and otherwise) are missing out on a tremendous team experience in the preliminary rounds.
With Leeds fixing their Christmas Cracker event for the 3rd Saturday of December and Sheffield shifting their Distance Meet from December to the end of November it looked to me that they were creating a void in the competitive calendar for Speedo Round 3....alas, never mind.
Still, if Speedo 2007/08 is another success maybe next time :fingers:

yeah, it's a big shame the NE clubs arent competing. if you look at the past records of some of the big clubs from the NE region, they're great.

their presence would definately spice things up a little bit!
