View Full Version : What games console have you got?
My bro's just got a Game Cube and its pretty good. I was wondering what other games consoles people have got and how do they rate them.

Games consoles play games that are far far inferior to PC games and thus no one should ever buy them.

Shouldn't that be inferior - or are you so superior that you have made up your own vocabulary?

You are of course correct, it should be inferior, don't know what I was thinking, perhaps it was England's win over the filthy Argies that has gone to my head, England being so superior and all that.
Insuperior is a word though, just not the correct one in this instance.

If you took out the 'far far' bit, am I right in saying insuperior would be acceptable?
Anyway I got an N64 a few years back now. I don't really play it much. I think I might sell it and put the money towards a better PC with more memory so I can play bigger and better games.:D

We've just got an XBox and it's really good. Bad timing to buy it though 'cos I have exams starting in a week but am slightly distracted from revision by the new games (especially Halo - very good)

I'm now in the market for a new console.. which one do you guys think i should get???
The current one i have is a PSone... and i don't really like, graphic wise.
Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Great fun especially loading the games from tape.:D

Sinclair ZX Spectrum?!?
I've never heard of that one... what is it??
Dinosaur Technology. Hours of frustration loading. Minutes of monochrome graphics. Probably unique to the UK.;) ;) ;) ;)

I think the spectrum was at least a generation before the mega drive. If I'm right, it was basically the first computer produced for home use which was aimed more towards playing games rather than word processing or whatever?
All I know is that we had one when I was very small, and you had to decide about two days in advance if you felt like playing on it!!

anorak alert!!
I had one too; the games were great. So much so in fact, that a friend of mine has an emulator on his PC and much prefers playing the old Speccy games than the new ones. Of course, they load a little faster (and slightly more reliably) from his hard drive than they used to do from tape ;)
I still have my speccy 'console' lying around in the shed, but I'm afraid I burnt it out by playing on it too long and I can't get the parts to repair it with now :(
GAME CUBE I've only ever owned Nintendos how sad of me
