There was never any doubt that Glasgow would win.

Thats great news, should encourage a few more kids who are just too young for London 2012 to keep at it, fantastic.

I'm well pleased and another 50m pool in the making, great.

Fantastic, I just hope that they do not waste £400000 on an awful logo.

I'm well pleased and another 50m pool in the making, great.I don't think that improving an existing facility really counts as a new pool?
I'm well pleased too, but from what I have seen the interest way up here is pretty underwhelming so it was good to see the pictures from Glasgow. :D

http://www.cbonline.co.uk/vgnmedia/images/Glasgow2014Logo.jpgThat is acceptable, but how much did it cost? Will it change when people get used to it?

I'm all in favour of countries/cities being awarded international events as a catalyst to enable their facilities to be improved ...... but really .... Nigeria???
Not a chance they should have got the Games.
To be honest, even Delhi's pushing it a bit!

Being Scottish and having been a frequent visitor of glasgow, id have to say id fancy my chances in nigeria and delhi more as a tourist haha.
All three of them are poverty stricken third world violence fests. I wonder if these games will force glasgows council to push the amount of police it needs onto the streets for a change.
It will be pretty cool to just wander over to see the competitions though.

Glasgow's not that bad Giroro.
My parents are from Glasgow. This means they're incredibly hard, but I was
never smacked as a child ...
... well maybe one or two grams to get me to sleep
at night.
Actually my father is from Kent and my mother is a Geordie. The above is supposed to be a joke and I got sent it about 2 minutes before I read the previous post and couldn't resisit posting it.
