I'm sure its not the first time its happened but that will not make it any easier on the lad.

I dont understand why "the electronic clock" hadnt been turned on - my immediate thought is that whatever links the gun to the timing system must have failed, but to suggest that the electronic timing wasnt even switched on is a bit mystifying.

On the other hand, did they mean the big electronic pace clock at the end of the pool......

Just to be clear its not MY record - I was crap (still am) at 200 free. Depends on the swimmer in question Stevie, but with some I would do as you suggest!

What time did he swim and what was the record before, just out of curiosity?

To clarify this, Leppie has been known to 'knobble' his rivals by drinking them under the table the night before a head-to-head contest for a NI Masters record, then beat said rival, then gloat about the success of his tactics.

Ryan went 1.48 then when he swam it again the next day it he went 1.50.2

the irish junior record was a 1.50.82 but it was a Standard time record.couldn't tell you what the Ulster Senior Record was.....or who it's held by.still anazing time by any junior swimmer.
