Some good swimming as usual at this meet over the weekend:
The men's 200 IM must have been a good battle to watch. Some good results too. And quite a few 'older' swimmers at the top. I didn't realise Gregor Tait was 28!

Some good swimming as usual at this meet over the weekend:Yes indeedy. I really enjoyed watching Euan Dale, he looked great, especially in that 400IM although I couldn't stay to see the final and wished I could've. Hannah Miley's 400 free looked fantastic, mind you so did everything else she did. The guys and gals from City of Edinburgh all looked really happy to be there and in incredible condition considering the workload they must have at present; their poolside workouts were entertaining too. It was a really good meet for observers as well as for participants.
All in all I really enjoyed it and I think it is a credit to the meet organisers (who are all volunteers) and the great job they do that so many of Scotland's and GB's best swimmers turn out each year for this meet when short course seems to be so low on everyone's agenda. It is also a great experience for Scotland's younger swimmers to be able to watch world class swimmers in the water and to be able to rub shoulders with them around the pool.
On that note, really impressive swimming for me was from Eloise Barber, who was just fabulous to watch in her IMs. Surprised she is not on that list of 139 for 2012, maybe she will be included later.
Improving a lot

Gutted! I saw the first 50/100 of the final but didn't see the finish because I was in the swim down pool. I just sort of heard cheering and looked up at the scoreboard, saw 4:08
But yes, an excellent meet overall.
