There's never anything posted on here from N & D so I thought I'd start with something positive.

I've just finished competing in the above event, and as a swimmer (albeit a very old one) I would like to thank the County for such great arrangements. It was excellent to be able to turn up, warm up and then swim and go home without having to hang around for ever, great job. I expect it's not quite so good for the officials but thank you.

V

PS do you have to print the ages of the swimmers in the programme.

Hey V. Where do you find all your comp.s to enter?
I only seem to hear of them after. Still a bit green at this Masters swimming thingy.

Hi Lesley

Happy new year! bit stale now right, I discovered the n & d cos it was discussed at a Masters meeting before it was introduced last year. I was looking for somewhere for a try out pre Oz and this seemed as good as anything.

Usually tho I only swim ASA nationals, the GB's, the inter county our meet (Gateshead and Whickham Masters) and the Worlds or Europeans, life's too busy to fit anything else in.

If you want to make aweekend of the G & W masters come and stay with us, we'll have a night out on the Saturday.

Cheers V. would love to- providing I don't have to do a 400 anything

If you want to do any meet my neck o' the woods, will gladly return the invitation - Guess Scarbro' s not that close - an hr - but if you want to make a w/end of it in May, just say the word.

Lloyd's room is empty all bar uni hols so plenty of space.

Feeling ok fit now but know I'll be getting frustrated if not as fast as I want to be. Stevie K. shamed me into joining a gym - something that I'd never been seen dead doing, but I love it. Arran and I go 4/5 times a week and get an age-group sesh and a Masters - which is just really 5 of us doing what we like (so call it a swim down), but it all oils the joints! The incentive is a long sauna after and no school kids !

Cheers for everything - you do know that without your article, I'd have just done the Yorks last year and nothing for another 30 yrs. Reckon that's quits!

P.S.

The added bonus of this training, is that now I can wear those fast skins from Sheffield instead of using them as a Victorian corsett - which was the feeling at the Inter-counties.
My target was to get 4 lbs off before Yorks and done that so may go for another couple to help the 'fly.
