Coseley pool is shut, the campaigners are trying to get an injuction to stop demolition but they're already stripping the place. The council will have to borrow a virtually identical sum to demolish it as to fix it. The whole business made Private Eye last week . Trying to keep the thing in the local press as much as possible. Oh and although the council are telling everyone to use the new pool due to be built in Bilston it emerges that the Wolverhampton council doesn't yet own this land nor have planning permission. There will be no pool until at least 2011. And they plan to close the old pool in Bilston. They are no longer even putting kids on to the waiting list for swimming lessons at Dudley pool because it is so long. All the remaining pools are absolutely rammed full- they wont even extend opening times because of the staffing budget. Anyway, I though I'd try to keep you up to date as you were kind enough to show us some support, Samja x
