Open Meet Rule Dodgers

Any one got any thoughts on this one...

Meet advertised with a closure date of 30th April.... meets closes on 28th due to being 'over subscribed'

In sportsys you can't actually determine this until you have built the meet with the paper and the electronic entries... bit off to invoke a first come approach which is in violation of the current licence meet guidelines?

I appreciate that obviously when a meet is full many people get rejected, but to reject people so coldly that are compiling their entries in accordance with the advertised terms just seems a bit mean. There must be several comp secs that have been analysing times, completing paperwork, chasing parents and swimmers and then..... you pee on their chips without even giving them the courtesy of rejecting them via the usual process.

Wouldnt have thought promoters could have closed meet early unless they said they were going to in the small print open for a protest I would have thought!
