11C, some patches of 12C, St Austell Bay this evening. Bit spooky in parts, where the sun had gone down behind the hill.1.5 miles with a mate. Lovely!

I'm not surprised. I bet King Lear's Lake is heading that way fast. I won't be there on Saturday but I'm going to check out what the temperature is.

River Great Ouse at Olney this afternoon: 20 degrees. A couple of teenagers spotted me recording the temperature, and asked me what it was. I asked them what they thought it was. They said about 10 degrees. I said double that and you are right! They approved! |

I went to Olney for another swim this afternoon. Temperature had increased by 2 degrees since Saturday, 22 degrees! Yet certain local authorities and other elf'n'safety prodnoses STILL insult people's intelligence by the ridiculous claim that open water "is always freezing cold"!

Edit: Actually tomorrow's forecast is for 21C and "light rain showers" at the time of my swim.
