11C, some patches of 12C, St Austell Bay this evening. Bit spooky in parts, where the sun had gone down behind the hill.1.5 miles with a mate. Lovely!

I'm not surprised. I bet King Lear's Lake is heading that way fast. I won't be there on Saturday but I'm going to check out what the temperature is.

yy.

PH was 20 this morning, I would be surprised if it wasn't a degree or two higher (and hopelessly busy) tomorrow.

Luckily you have the sea nearby, not to mention rivers (the Dart and Tamar come to mind).

I think we've had this before - I mean Parliament Hill Lido, I think you think I mean another one. (The Dart is lovely but a bit far for a pre-work swim!)

Irish Sea, Leasowe (N.Wirral), 26th May '12: 17C

High tide which had come in across warm sandbanks.

Sorry, I took PH to mean Plymouth.

River Great Ouse at Olney this afternoon: 20 degrees. A couple of teenagers spotted me recording the temperature, and asked me what it was. I asked them what they thought it was. They said about 10 degrees. I said double that and you are right! They approved!

I went to Olney for another swim this afternoon. Temperature had increased by 2 degrees since Saturday, 22 degrees! Yet certain local authorities and other elf'n'safety prodnoses STILL insult people's intelligence by the ridiculous claim that open water "is always freezing cold"!

Oh dear. Not sure I'm looking forward to tomorrow's swim as much as I was. However, the weather is changing tonight isn't it?

Edit: Actually tomorrow's forecast is for 21C and "light rain showers" at the time of my swim.
