Over 400 cushions have been given out to Olympic and Paralympic teams from 56? countries at the Weymouth Regatta today!

One of mine is going to an Irish paralympic cyclist...I'm hoping he'll get a medal!

There was a bit on Radio 4 PM prog (available on the BBC website) which is worth listening to.

Please encourage anyone with links to selected competitors in any sports here or abroad to email to request a cushion, andto read the website page for them

My mum sent two cushions off but I've not heard if they have been given out or not. The wool came from a neighbour's pet sheep.

That's kind of the sheep. Did it have some left over from a jumper it had been knitting?

They may still be "in stock" or in a pile ready for stuffing, or in a pile ready for allocaton.
Did you put your email address on?

I'm going to try to get one to a high profile sportsperson at (after) the torch relay tomorrow. I'll let you know if I manage to.

I don't think we have heard from the Olympic team managers yet which is a shame because that way we can handover the full team's worth of cushions. Feel free to nudge people if you know who to nudge. All we need is an email from them, or an email to write to with your name as "I was given your email address by..."

Just and alert to listen to Radio 4 PM programme this Friday for news of Woolsack cushions, and to watch BBC Breakfast Show on Saturday. BBC1 6.30 to 9.30.
Bill Quay Wool Group will be shown and a cushion made by a school in Newton Aycliffe is presented to Wheelchair Fencer Gemma Collis.

If anyone has made any Woolsack cushions and not sent them off, please post them unstuffed to the address in Woolsack newsletter no 9 or choose the posting cushions option on the contact page
