As warm as a heated pool, but without the chlorine! Ace!

King Lear's Lake. 22.7C

However, I was on spotting duty in the rain. And then afterwards I cycled back in wet clothes. So, the only time I was warm was when I was actually in the water swimming.

12.5C in Mother Ivey's Bay.Our second swim there this week, about 7pm. I wanted to swim out and sit on the Padstow Lifeboat slipway but we looked at the buoys surrounding the launching area and thought better of it. On the way back towards the beach we turned around in time to see the lifeboat launch! Good call not to be "ladies who launch"!

I don't know what the temperature was tonight in King Lear's Lake. But it was warmer than 15C as my face acclimatised quicker than it does in 15C. But it wasn't as warm as 18C. I think that 17C is still too warm, and 16C colder than it was today. So, my body, face, and hands thermometer says 16.5C

Because someone on the council can only see the £ signs, no doubt. A price on everything, and a value on nothing, as usual by the sounds of things.

A drop of 5 degrees in three weeks! A legacy of the 'wonderful' June weather!

It's bad enough for water temperatures to be several degrees below the norm for the time of year, but still falling while approaching what should be the hottest months.

Studland Bay yesterday, for the Seahorse 3.8k swim, 13.7c. When I did the same swim in 2010, the water temp was a luxurious 16C.
