Hereford
Does anyone know of any good places to swim in the River Wye in the Hereford area?
I'm down on business and looking for an early morning swim on Thursday if anyone fancies joining me? |

Take care - the Wye has been running high due to the recent rain. You can check EA guages:
http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk...stationId=4017 for R. Wye at Hereford Bridge. There are other guaging sites along the river. Wildswimmer Pete

Not at all surprising considering the monsoon that June has been. I shouldn't be at all surprised to learn that the same applies to a great many rivers at the moment!

The river level was actually below average.
I scoped out the river trying to find somewhere to get in but bottled it in the end due to the number of rowers using the stretch near my hotel. I didn't fancy getting my head caved in by a silent rowing boat. |
