Dunno, I always train in drag shorts, and my training "race pace" times aren't that different to my LZR legskins race pace.

Training? Anything that can put up with repeated submersions in a chlorinated pool. That's not the same as what's the best thing to race in, and I wouldn't want to comment on the best thing for a boy to wear when racing. Having an extra bit of drag when training is no bad thing as you feel really fast when you get in and swim in a race.

I use Speedo endurance Jammers. I wear a size larger than racing..for comfort during long sets.

The banana hammock is the only swimwear to wear. Budgys's if you like.

I am donning mine even in meeting this dolphin! She took a shine to me too.

Speaking personally, I normally wear speedos or similar for serious swimming, board shorts for messing about. I have tried wearing boardies for serious swimming, but I am definitely slower wearing them, due to the drag.
