Hold onto your hats, Ladies and Gentlemen, we are making some changes around here ...
I want these forums to become bigger and bigger - we're gonna take over the swimming world ... Mu ha ha ha ![]() I will be upgrading the forum software during the Christmas period, so things is gonna look a bit different round here. I'm hoping the transition is gonna be nice and smooth (but you never can tell - remember the host-switching fiasco )Make sure you bear with us on this one, because the change will definitely be worth it. ------------------ Chris (Webmaster) Beau Sejour Barracudas Swimming Club - Guernsey http://www.barracudas-sc.org.gg/ |

Greatly appreciate the effort that goes into the site, but might it be better just to have one general board rather than sub-sections? You may be thinking about this anyway. Thanks.

Yes keep up the great work with the site. It really is one of the best swimming sites around and I visit it every time I am online. I hope you do not do away with all the sub-sections as some are obviously very good (doing away with the Scotland one would be a disaster). However, some never get any posts so you might reconsider those? I just wish more people would post here and make the topics even more lively.

I do want to keep the sub-sections (especially the regional ones). It's shame that they aren't used more often (or at all for some of them
) but I think it's better to try and encourage people to use them than to close them down.I was even considering opening them up to the rest of the world ... opinions on this welcomed ... ------------------ Chris (Webmaster) Beau Sejour Barracudas Swimming Club - Guernsey http://www.barracudas-sc.org.gg/ |

I've thought about that approach before (even created a demo site to try it out) but because I was mixing cgi scripts and php, I didn't want to do it.
That will be changing shortly (for the forum at any rate) so I may re-visit the PHP-Nuke idea sometime soon. As always, I would be reliant on input from other people. ------------------ Chris (Webmaster) Beau Sejour Barracudas Swimming Club - Guernsey http://www.barracudas-sc.org.gg/ |

I look forward to seeing the improvements. As long as it doesn't take a month like changing servers did
I also wish a few more people would show their faces around here!Still, at least the ones who do keep it interesting/informative

As opposed to static pages which can't be changed by the visitor. You really don't need to know anything about them to come up with suggestions though (just leave the heavy stuff for Chris to work out )------------------ David Cuthbert (www.dartes.co.uk) news@DaveC.org.uk |
