Scottish Nationals 2004 - Draft Programme
Just got a copy of the draft programme for the forthcoming Scottish Nationals. Once again there are numerous mistakes and errors in it at this stage but it looks like quite a big entry in most events and not too many rejections. Whoever, came up with the programme and qualifying / consideration times did a good job as on first impressions it seems to be just about right!

Any hints as to whether the 16-18yrs girls is full? I was very close to all the qualifying times and well under the consideration times...

Yes I saw it last night but I'm not sure I believed it. It is certainly full - very full - perhaps too full!

It's just because its all merged together it appears very full! Although it's great there aren't too many O/Subscriptions this year, a great job by whoever set the Qual/Cons times.

I think the last date you can qualify for the BAGCAT and Youth Nationals is actually the 20th June (not the 31st May) but either way, as GF says, it will still be too late to qualify.

However I think for Scottish swimmers it can be used, not sure but the closing date for ASAs is 30 June, and the meet starts on 29th. And as we don't have "designated" meets in Scotland, could you not obtain times in the first day?

The closing date was to be the 20th June but in the end got changed to 30th for District BAGCAT, Youth and Scottish / Welsh Nationals. For open meets it was 31st May. The Scottish Nationals start on the 29th June not the 28th. Technically it is possible to qualify on the 29th, fill in your form and drive to Loughborough with it and hand it in the next day.

Well the Programme is now up on the website, looks good, hopefully some super fast swimming to come, some suspicious additional entries added on after the last two drafts, namely the olympians!
Will we be seeing any swimclub southerners?!?
