Aquabears' Gala

Ok Ok..time to plan next years' events.

So you like short course, not too close to Christmas..got to get the extra pounds off. Well I've just the answer for your first meet.

Aquabears' are holding their 3rd Masters Gala on Saturday, Feb 25th. Broughton Pool in Salford. The details are on ASA website in the Masters' Calender.

I would link them here but at my age haven't learnt how to do that yet. I'll stick to swimming.

Apologies in advance for wandering slightly off-topic, but does anyone know if the date for the GB Masters in Manchester is definite yet? The calendar link above says 16-18 June, but the planning calendar here:

http://www.sportcentric.com/vmgmt/vf...-0-file,00.pdf

says 9-11 June, and the general rule is that the meet is held on the first full weekend in June.

Does anyone know if the 16-18 June date is a definite one?

Normally is, the ASA site http://www.britishswimming.org/vsite...v-list,00.html has it as the next weekend and I have booked my Ibis Hotel accordingly - the one nearest the pool, not in the heart of the city - there are two, why not phone the ASA 01509 618 700.

I'll be there saturday.

Who else will be?
Want to meet up at lunch for a coffee, so I can put faces to some of the names?

Look forward to seeing you Jason.

Mainly a Northern flavour to this gala. Understand it's a bit too far for most of the posters on this site.

So we won't be serving coffee, just tripe and onions, black pudding and mushy peas.

Excellent weekend.

Saw Jack Johnson friday night, got 3 PB's on the saturday, met Big Nev, and then a new PB for the hour postal swim sunday (3230)

Anyone wants to make a weekend in Manchester, from down south, then you should look to come up for the next event. Keep us informed when it is Nev.

Sorry BN... I felt the urge to have a quick rage and unfortunately it was here. Search for him on Google. Or get one of his CDs (I recommend In Between Dreams), even better
