Guess what ... more fins!

When I first saw the Aqua Sphere Zip Fin I was instantly interested, because they were very different to your average swimming pool fin.

The first thing you notice will be the design. A very short bladed split fin with a micro-adjustable padded ankle strap. It apparently reduces muscle and joint stress and ankle fatigue, but I found I was struggling with the very short bladed design.

Another flaw in my eyes was the size of the toe-opening. Because of the strength of the adjustable ankle strap, I found my feet being pulled forwards in the fin and my toes would come completely out of the front. If you loosened the ankle strap the fin didn't feel secure enough.

Maybe I just have the wrong shaped feet ....

Summary

Whilst I love the design of the Zip Fin, I really didn't get on with them. For me it was a case of fashion over function, as they were just too uncomfortable for me in the pool. At £24.99 they were also the most expensive fins/flippers I tested and I'm afraid they just didn't cut it for that price
