Lifeguard jobs..........London

Hi folks. My son starts at UCL in a few weeks. He'll be living in halls in Camden. Does anyone know of any local pools where he could enquire about lifeguard jobs, please?

Thanks,

Looks like the Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre is the one he wants to try and work at ... as it looks great from the pictures.

I was an undergraduate at UCL sometime in the last century and took part time work as a lifeguard to supplement the student grant. I was in halls near the college and in digs at Archway and found work at the University of London Union in Malet street - they have a 33.3m pool in the basement, right next to UCL, and would be certainly worth a try. I also found "work" with the London Borough of Islington at various pools. In those days you were able to get away with revision whilst keeping half an eye on the pool.

The best bet is to contact the local councils (Camden, Islington, Brent, Barnet are all reasonably close to the Halls in Camden) for a list of pools in the area and then contact the pools directly.

Good Luck....
