Satellite Open Meet

Hi
Anyone going to this meet?
It is coming up soon 16 May and I was wondering if we were the only ones not to have had swims accepted/rejected yet?
Probably means weve been rejected I suppose but I would like to check if others have heard by now!?

Haven't heard a thing, although I am not assuming that this is because of rejections. Perhaps they are not very organised?! I certainly expect my daughter to be accepted for a couple of the swims she has entered, possibly all of them. I bet we'll hear tomorrow!

Hi! Have emailed to find out what the situation is. I'll post again if I hear anything. I hope she has got in........ she is rather hopeful she can swim her first ever 1500 freestyle. Not too keen on breaststroke these days. Perhaps I should rename myself!?

Would hate to see you go on the wrong day - the meet is the 12th and 13th May.

Hi! Thanks, Justswim, yes, I know it is. Yet to find an Open Meet that's on a Wednesday! (Daughter would probably leap at the chance for a day off school if it were though!) However, the original details were rather confusing, as half of the paperwork said 5th/6th and the entry form said 12th/13th! So, I wouldn't be surprised if the admin has got a little disorganised.

There has been a lot of organisational changes at Satellite recently. That said, I'm sure the meet will be a good one - as usual.

Heard from Satellite this morning. Daughter accepted for all of her swims..............now she will have to withdraw from one, as we entered her for the 200 breast in case she was rejected form the 1500 free. (Had to estimate a time based on her 800). Can't possibly do both in the same session! Hope your little one got accepted and now has some jammers that fit him. Perhaps see you there. We are there for sessions 3 and 4.

We heard this morning too! Phew! He is entered for the 1500 too - first time - first heat! I really thought when another boy from our club heard on Friday that he was accepted that this meant not for my son. He at least can get a time and see how it goes. We got some jammers and some briefs which fit him ok I think(! I will ask a more experienced mum to look and see if she thinks they are tight enough!)
We are only in session 3, and then have a team gala that evening!
